A psychologist who was successfully pretending to be a psychic is unmasked by his ex-wife and returns to his hometown, a coastal town where he actually has real supernatural experiences. Skeptical, he tries to find a scientific explanation for the apparitions and premonitions he starts having and he eventually accepts this “gift” when he starts helping the locals. But a recurring vision of a child he doesn’t know begins to disturb him, particularly because he knows the life of that child seems to be in danger.
